UK Forecast - July 22, 2019
Dry, bright, very warm Tuesday
Heavy, thundery showers at times

Tuesday
Low pressure is to the west of Ireland on Tuesday with high pressure to the east. Much of the UK and Ireland should see a bright, warm and dry day. Far western and northern parts of Scotland and Ireland may occasionally see some light rain as fronts graze these areas. Cloudier here too. Through the late afternoon and into the evening, heavy, thundery showers may develop over southwestern parts of the UK. Highs at 30C, or possible higher, in southeast England, more widely 21 to 28C.

Tuesday Night
A band of rain, some of it heavy, with embedded thunderstorms will make its way northward from the southwest of the UK through Tuesday night and the early part of Wednesday morning affecting most parts of the country. A separate band of heavy rain will move into western Ireland. By Wednesday morning, outbreaks of rain should be confined to the far east of England and northern and eastern parts of Scotland. Overnight lows widely at a muggy 14 to 19C, staying even warmer in the low 20sC in parts of southeastern England.

Wednesday
Heavy, thundery showers affecting parts of the UK overnight should clear to the north and east through the morning. Lower pressure stays to the west on Wednesday with higher pressure to the east. A generally bright day across the British Isles: cloudier to the west while the best of the sun will be to the east. Showers and outbreaks of rain will develop over Ireland through the day, perhaps reaching western parts of Scotland, England and Wales through the evening. Highs widely at 20 to 29C, 30 to 33C in the far southeast.

Thursday
An area of low pressure centred to the southwest of Ireland on Thursday brings heavy, sometimes thundery, showers and outbreaks of rain across much of the UK and Ireland. A mostly cloudy day though drier and brighter conditions follow to the southwest through the evening for parts of England and Wales. A breezy day in the southwest too. Highs widely at 20 to 27C, 29 to 34C for eastern and southeastern parts of England.
