Wednesday
Breezy with sunny spells on Wednesday morning. There will be showers in western areas, some of them heavy over coasts and hills. The afternoon sees the showers in the west merging to longer spells of rain, then extending through central and southern England, before reaching the east later. Further rain in southern Ireland. Windy in these areas too. Turning wetter in the afternoon in northern England with heavy showers in western Scotland. Drier in eastern Scotland. A cooler day at 6 to 9C, feeling cold in the wind.


Wednesday Night
Rain for much of England and Wales, this fades for a time and then returns with soe of it heavy. Windy in many areas of England and Wales. Rain clearing slowly from Ireland. Tending to be drier and colder in Scotland, some showers in northern and western Scotland. Lows at 9C in southern England, around 1C in central Scotland.
 


Thursday
Low pressure west of Scotland on Thursday. This brings rain and showers into Scotland, these turning more persistent in the west in the afternoon. Snow over the hills of Scotland. Some coud and outbreaks of rain in western Wales and the west and south of England. Tending to be drier in central and eastern areas. Highs around 4C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.
 


Friday
Low pressure drifts into the North Sea on Friday. This brings a cool and windy morning with showers in the north and west. The showers could be wintry over hills of Scotland. Winds tend to ease into the afternoon with some bright or sunny spells developing. Only a few showers in the afternoon in northern areas. Increasing cloud in western Ireland later as fronts encroach from the Atlantic. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.
