Some morning mist and fog patches on Friday morning. These are going to be lifting to leave the day dry with bright spells for many. Some sunshine breaking through and this will be continuing into the afternoon, although always a fair amount of cloud. A front brings rain into Ireland and the far west of Scotland. Little changes into the afternoon with more rain in Ireland and the far west of Scotland. Some rain and drizzle reaching the far southwest of England too. Highs at 17C in Ireland and cloudier parts of the west, 21C in eastern areas.
Outbreaks of rain in western Scotland and eastern Ireland as well as much of west Wales and southwest England. Dry for other areas although always with a fair amount of cloud. Some mist and fog affecting western coasts and hills. Lows near 9 to 14C.
An occluded front will be lying north to south through the UK on Saturday. This brings cloud for many, although breaks occurring with some bright or sunny spells developing. This allows for scattered showers to be forming during the early afternoon across many central and northern areas. Cloudier with more persistent rain afecting the north of Scotland. Drier and brighter in Ireland and southwest England. Highs at 23C in the sunny spells, 14C in the rain in northern Scotland.
A warm front will be north to south through the country on Sunday. This brings more cloud and some outbreaks of rain, mostly through central and western Scotland, western England and Wales. Murky too with low cloud on hills. The rain tending to become more persistent into the afternoon. More eastern areas are likely to be drier, perhaps with some breaks in the cloud bringing a few sunny spells. Cloud and rain affecting the south of Ireland, but brighter and direr in the north. Highs at 21C in sunshine in the east, 17C in the west.
