Wednesday
A cloudy start to the day across much of England, Wales and Ireland. There will be a few spots of drain and drizzle here and there, although these tending to fade as the morning progresses. A few bright spells develop this afternoon, mostly in the Midlands and southern England. Scotland will have a chillier and brighter start to the day. Some good spells of sunshine at first, these affecting the far north of Northern Ireland too. However, cloud increases from the west into the afternoon with rain arriving in the far northwest later as the winds increase. Highs at 14C in southwest England, a cooler 7C in Scotland.


Wednesday Night
Increasing winds across Scotland tonight. A front moves in from the west bringing some heavy bursts of rain into Ireland and much of Scotland too. Drier in England and Wales as well as the far south and east of Ireland. rather a lot of cloud here, but some breaks in more central and eastern areas of England. A frost free night with lows of 5 to 10C.
 


Thursday
A cold front is going to be passing east and south through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This becomes an increasingly weak feature and bring showery outbreaks of rain in northern England, Wales and southern Ireland on Thursday morning. The light rain band reaching southern Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia by evening. Overal a mild, dry day in southern and southeast England with a few bright spells. Colder and brighter weather follows through Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northern England. Showers in northern and western Scotland. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 13C in southern England.


Friday
An area of high pressure builds to the south of Ireland on Friday. Low pressure is a long way northeast of Scotland, but this does turn the wind flow to the northwest for all parts of the UK and Ireland. A cooler day for all with heavy and prolonged showers in northern and western parts of Scotland. The showers turning to sleet and snow on hills. Some showers affecting Northern Ireland and northwest England too. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells but feeling cold in the wind. Highs at 5 to 9C.
