A damp morning through northern England, parts of the northern and western Midlands, Wales and southern Ireland. Misty too with some fog pon hills. Drier in southern and southeast England, although a fair amount of cloud here. Showers and breezy in northern and western Scotland with showers some of them wintry. Drier in the east. This afternoon sees the rain and drizzle sliping into East Anglia and the Midlands, together with Wales and southwest England. Further showers in northern and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Drier elsewhere. Windy in the far north ofScotland. Highs at 6 to 8C north of the rain band, 13C in southern England.


Wednesday Night
Damp and cloudy in the far south of England through tonight. Further scattered showers for the north and west of Scotland where winds will be falling lighter. Drier for other areas with some bright spells, the best sunshine in Northern Ireland and the east and south of Scotland. Lows at 5C in southern England, -4C in central Scotland, and widely 0 to 3C.
 


Thursday
Cloudier with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in central and southern England and Wales on Thursday as a weak front drifts south. Scattered showers in Scotland, some wintry on hills. These showers could affect Northern Ireland, but other areas should be dry and bright. Some sunny spells too. A cold day in the south at 3 or 4C, 6 to 8C elsewhere.
 


Friday
High pressure north of Scotland on Friday, low pressure to the south. A brisk easterly wind will be making it feel cold with a risk of some wintry showers over eastern coasts. Rain affecting the far south of England, some of it heavy. The best of the sunshine in western parts of Scotland. Ireland and northwest England as well as west Wales. Highs at 6 to 8C.
