Broken cloud for many through Wednesday as high pressure remains over the UK and Ireland. A weak front will bring low cloud and some drizzle to western coasts of Ireland, there could be a few spots of drizzle on eastern coasts of England too. Generally it should be dry with some sunny spells, the best of these both to the north and south of the front. This afternoon sees the cloud remaining broken and sunny spells for most. Best of the sunshine both north and south of the front once again. Highs at 17C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.

Wednesday Night
Clearer skies overnight across much of England and Wales, staying dry too. A fair amount of cloud in Ireland and again in most of Scotland. It will be to the west of Scotland where cloud is thickest and could produce some drizzle. Lows near 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Thursday
High pressure remains over the south and east of the country through Thursday. This is going to be bringing a fair day with sunny spells for most. There will be cloud across Ireland and Scotland, especially in northern and western areas. Outbreaks of rain could affect northeast Scotland, Shetland and Orkney. Some sunshine for both the east and south of Scotland. Highs at 18 to 23C.

Friday
Pressure stays high on Friday, centred east of the UK. It is going to be a dry day with sunny spells for most. Always more cloud to the west and north, although still mostly dry here. There is a risk of some spots of drizzle in the far west of Ireland. Moderate south ot southeast winds in the west. Highs around 18 to 22C.
