Bright spells, some showers
Friday, heavy rain

Wednesday
Low pressure east of the country on Wednesday. A cool though bright and dry start with sunny spells, although showers affecting eastern coasts and hills. An area of showers extends through western Wales and southwest England with more cloud here. Further showery rain pushing on to coastal areas of eastern England later. Otherwise it will be dry and bright with sunny spells. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.


Wednesday Night
Overnight, showery rain pushes further inland from the east then pushing southwards into southern England during the early hours. Some showers elsewhere but largely dry with lows dropping to 4 to 6C in the north and west, 8 to 10C further south and east.

 
 
 


Thursday
A ridge of high pressure building on Thursday. There could still be some showers in southern England first, although these should fade. Fair for most other areas with sunny spells and dry weather. Cloud may increase in the west of Ireland later as a front approaches. Highs at a slightly less cool 14 to 17C.
 


Friday
An area of low pressure northwest of Scotland on Friday pushes a front eastwards bringing strong winds and some heavy rain. Brighter weather follows through Ireland, although some heavy showers in the west. The brighter weather with some showers reaching western England and Scotland later in the day. Showers could be heavy and prolonged in western Scotland. Highs at 17C in southern England, 11C in northern Scotland.
