Wednesday
A cool start to the day for most. There will be some good spells of sunshine and these are going to be lasting throughout the morning. Showers in northern and western parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland with a scattering of showers in northwest England. Very little changes through this afternoon with more spells of sunshine for most. Just an odd shower in Scotland but drier elsewhere. Highs at 14 to 19C.


Wednesday Night
Scattered showers tonight in northern and western Scotland as well as western Ireland. There is the chance of an isolated shoer in northern England and the hills of Wales too. For most areas the night will be dry with clearer skies and temperatures falling to around 6 to 9C.
 


Thursday
Low pressure to the west of Scotland on Thursday will be pushing fronts eastwards. These bring rain and stronger winds into western Scotland and Ireland in the morning. A fair start for much of eastern Scotland England and Wales with the best sunshine in the east and south. Cloud and rain spreads east and south during the afternoon, the heaviest of it always affecting more northern and western parts of the country. Highs at 14 to 21C.


Friday
The area of low pressure slips into Scotland on Friday. It is going to be a windy day with fronts brings heavy periods of rain in England, Wales and Ireland, most in the north. Southern areas will be windy with a risk of gales and outbreaks of rain. Showerier weather follows into Scotland and Northern Ireland as wel as northern England. The showers will be heavy at times with a risk of thunder. Cool for most at 12 to 16C, but to 20C in the south.
