Saturday
A chilly day on Saturday with a brisk northeast wind making it feel particularly cold. There will be some spots of drizzle and light rain in much of England and Wales, although a few brighter spells too in the west. Eastern coasts of England as well as north and east Scotland may see the odd snow flurry. Eastern Ireland also experiencing the cold northeast with, cloud and a few spots of rain and sleet, although drier north and west. Highs at 2 to 6C but feeling much colder in the wind.

Saturday Night
Clear skies tonight in much of Scotland and Ireland as well as clearer skies developing through Wales and northwest England. These allow for temperatures to fall sharply and a widespread frost to develop. Windier weather and broken cloud elsewhere. It will be mostly dry although always the chance of some spots of rain on eastern coasts. Lows at -7C in central Scotland, 3C in southeast England.

Sunday
High pressure to the east of Scotland on Sunday. This brings a dry day with some good spells of sunshine in Scotland as well as much of northwest England, Wales and the west of Ireland. Places exposed to the easterly wind will tend to have more cloud, so this includes eastern and central England and eastern Ireland. Thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain with sleet on high ground across southern England. Winds strongest in southern England with a significant windchill here. Highs at 1 to 5C but feeling much colder in the wind to the south. Temperatures may not rise above freezing over much of central Scotland all day.

Monday
High pressure centred over Scandinavia on Monday with a strong and cold east to southeast wind affecting the UK and Ireland. There will be broken cloud in many southern areas with a few spots of rain here. Variable cloud further north and east with some sunny spells. Feeling cold for all. Highs at 3 to 6C.
