Showers this afternoon

Wednesday
Wet weather affecting northern Scotland and the far north of Ireland this morning. This rain slowly eases this afternoon. Scattered showers in southern Scotland and northwest England. Some bright spells elsewhere. This afternoon sees some showers forming in the southern Midlands, southern England, southwest England and the south of Wales. A risk of some more persistent rain or thundery showers in the far east of East Anglia and southeast England. Showers in southern Ireland, some brighter weather here too. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern Ireland, 20C in southeast England.


Wednesday Night
Showers, some thundery may affect central and eastern parts of England this evening, these slipping further east tonight. Scattered showers on western coasts and hills. More persistent rain in southwest Scotland. Overal drier with some clearer sells here and there. Lows at 6 to 10C.
 


Thursday
Low pressure west of Scotland on Thursday. There will be sunny spells and isolated showers at first. Thicker cloud in northeast Scotland with rain in Shetland and Orkney. The showers becoming heavier and thundery over much of England and Wales as well as Ireland during this afternoon. Tops at 15 to 21C.
 


Friday
Low pressure to the south of the UK on Friday. This pushes fronts northwards bringing heavy periods of thundery rain with it. Showers or longer spells of rain in western Ireland too. Scotland and northern England may start brighter but the rain moving in here during the day with the rain heavy and thundery. Turning breezy to the south later. Highs at 13 to 16C, 21C in East Anglia.
