An area of rain clears to the east from Wales and England this morning to leave a mixture of sunshine and showers. Showers most frequent to the west and turning wintry over higher ground. These ease into the afternoon before another area of rain arrives over southwest Ireland later.

Good Morning,

An area of heavy rain clears east over England this morning while a further band of rain spreads across Ireland, Wales and England behind this. Rain is likely to persist over northwestern parts of England throughout the morning, turning to snow over higher ground. A showery morning for northern, western and eastern parts of Scotland - showers turn wintry over higher ground. Drier and bright to the east.

Rain and showers ease for most areas into Sunday afternoon though may persist for a time over northwestern coasts and hills of Scotland. Some good spells of sunshine develop over the UK while cloud starts to build from the southwest over Ireland.

Rain spreads across Ireland from the southwest, turning to snow over higher ground and to the north while most of the UK stays dry. Cloud builds from the west and rain arrives to the far southwest later.

Have a good day!

Claire
