Morning Call - December 13, 2020
Wet but mild
Winds strengthening

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 13th December 2020
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

An unsettled day with rain spreading east and winds strengthening too. Blustery showers behind.

Rain across Ireland, Wales and southwest England by early morning, then spreading to all areas through the morning. Staying wet in East Anglia and the southeast. The winds increasing too.

During the afternoon, rain continuing to spread into eastern areas, including the southeast well into the evening. Winds continue to strengthen with a risk of gales in exposed coastal areas across the country, but from a southerly direction so it will be relatively mild.

A wet night with rain in the east, heavy at times, clearing offshore through the early hours. The Northern Isles, however, still hanging on to the rain. Blustery showers behind, these heavy and merging into longer spells of rain at times in the west. Blustery winds with gales potentially along southwestern coasts. A mild night generally for many.
