Heavy rain near south coast

Good morning,

Rain moves across southern and central England and Wales today, heavy for a time in the far south and southwest, tending to break up as it passes eastwards by afternoon. Further heavy rain returns in southwest later. Windy around southwestern coasts.

Drier further north across England, also Scotland and Northern Ireland, some cloud breaks and a little sun. A few showers in the far north of Scotland will move across Orkney and Shetland.

Today's top temperatures will reach 10 to 12C in the south, 8C in the Midlands, but chillier further north, 3 to 6C for Scotland and northern England.

Have a great day.
Garry
