Morning Call - June 01, 2018
Warm or Very Warm
Scattered Heavy Showers

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 1st June 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

There will continue to be plenty of warm sunshine on Friday but with still a risk of some heavy and thundery showers too.

Good morning,

Some residual overnight showers are present across parts of the north this morning and these will likely develop through the course of the morning with local downpours. Otherwise there will be plenty of sunny spells and drier weather too, especially across more central and southern areas of England and Wales.

Through the afternoon and further localised heavy and thundery showers are possible, probably not to the same extent as compared with Thursday, but some inland central and northern areas of the UK could well be affected as the afternoon progresses. In-between these showers there will continue to be quite a lot of dry weather with spells of sunshine. Many areas remaining warm and rather humid.

Evening heavy showers or storms may linger across some northern areas before clearing later and then many areas mainly dry on Friday night with clear spells and variable cloud. Some mist and murky conditions developing in places and a mild or warm night, especially in towns and cities.
