Morning Call - May 28, 2018
Warm or Very Warm
Further Risk of Thundery Showers

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 28th May 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Plenty of fine weather continues across more northern areas of the British Isles, but much of England, Wales and Ireland at risk of some further heavy downpours.

Good morning,

Overnight heavy showers or thunderstorms remain possible through the morning across some areas of England and Wales and may develop further through the morning, despite some bright or sunny spells too. It is a mainly dry start to the day across Scotland though with sunny spells and many areas soon becoming warm too.

Through the afternoon many areas of Scotland will maintain a lot of dry weather with plenty of sunshine and very warm here too, especially across western Scotland. Elsewhere and the mixture of drier, sunnier intervals but with scattered heavy showers and possible thunderstorms remains across England and Wales. Warm or very warm and humid.

Evening heavy showers or storms may well continue well into the evening and overnight across some areas of England and Wales, but many northern areas will end the day dry with some sunshine and this then leading on to a dry night ahead with clear spells. A mild or warm night for many, especially in urban areas.
