Warm, dry for many
Scattered thunderstorms

Slow-moving cloudbursts, particularly Scotland

Good morning,

High pressure lies to the north-west of the British Isles today, promoting a slack north-easterly pattern. Shallow low pressure is just to the north-west of Spain.

Plenty of dry and bright weather today, with hazy sunshine and some mist patches in the morning. Light winds and sea breezes.

A few thunderstorms breaking out inland, mostly affecting the Scottish Highlands and eastern England, perhaps locally over the hills of Wales. Generally, the storms will be more scattered than previous days, but will be slow-moving, giving sustained torrential bursts locally.

Today's top temperatures will reach 20 to 23C for many, up to 25 to 27C locally in central England and the London area. Cooler near coasts, nearer 15 to 18C.

Have a great day.
Garry
