Snow and hail showers northwest

Good morning,

An active cold front passes southeastward across England & Wales this morning into the middle of the day, with heavy bursts of rain, hail and isolated thunder. Some hill snow.

Colder air with sunshine and wintry showers follows from the west. Snow and hail falling to low levels in Scotland and Northern Ireland in the afternoon into evening.

Strong and suddenly squally southwesterly winds around the heavy rain, then a lull, but brisk and chilly westerlies will then affect northern and western areas.

Today's temperatures starting mild 8 to 11C ahead of the front, then falling, to be generally 5 to 7C through the afternoon, and dropping quickly colder into the evening with some icy patches.

Have a great day.
Garry
