Sunshine and showers

A frosty start in places in the north. Perhaps some lingering rain brushing southeastern coasts of England first thing but this should soon clear off. A dry and largely sunny morning though showers are expected in the west.

The afternoon sees sunny spells and showers continue, these showers mostly further west but a few could reach more central areas. Best of the sunshine and driest of weather in the east.

Overnight, mostly dry as most showers ease off. Cloud will progressively increase as patchy rain moves over Ireland and Northern Ireland and on into far western regions of the UK towards dawn.
