Morning Call - September 16, 2021
Sunny spells east
Low cloud west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 16th September 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Sunny spells, dry and warm but increasing cloud in the west

A bright morning on Thursday with broken cloud and sunny spells. Thicker cloud in the west of Ireland will be bringing some drizzle as well as low cloud and mist. Some drizzle to in Shetland and Orkney. A tendency for cloud to be increasing in Ireland and western Scotland as well as the west of Wales and England.

This afternoon is likely to be remaining dry for many, the best of the sunshine in eastern areas. More cloud and spots of drizzle in western Ireland and western Scotland. A mild afternoon in the sunshine, but always cooler in the cloud in the west.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Ireland with mist over western coasts and hills of Scotland. Rather cloudy in other areas, some mist and fog patches developing too.
