Fine with lots of sunshine in the south, cloudier and damper to the north

Good morning,

A fine day to come across England and most of Wales with long spells of sunshine. Western Wales may see more in the way of cloud but even here there will be breaks developing with sunny spells coming through. Broken cloud and some bright spells across northern England, staying dry here.

Cloudier for Scotland and Northern Ireland with a band of rain affect much of Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. The rain could be heavy in southwest Scotland this morning although turning patchier this afternoon. Showers with some sunny spells in central and northern Scotland and feeling cool here too.

Overnight cloud and some patchy rain slips south through northern England and southern Scotland. Much of England and Wales will be cloudier and should be dry overall. A few showers over the coasts of Scotland and Northern Ireland but generally colder and drier in these northern areas.
