Snow showers
Very cold

Bitterly cold, snow showers, most in the east

Good morning,

There's a bitterly cold easterly airmass affecting the whole of the UK and Ireland today. This is going to be bringing snow showers this morning, mostly across eastern parts of England, the north Midlands and parts of Wales. Accumulations of snow are possible, once again most in the east. More western and southern areas should be drier this morning, although even here some snow showers are likely.

This afternoon sees the risk of snow showers over almost the whole of the UK and most of Ireland. A few of the snow showers could be heavy, again with accumulations in places. More northern and western parts of Scotland may escape the worst of the showers. Feeling bitterly cold everywhere.

A severe frost tonight with snow showers in the east. Drier to the west overall.
