Snow in the north. Cold night ahead.
Good morning,
A cold morning with a slight frost for a few areas. A band of rain, sleet and snow pushes south through Scotland during the morning and then into northern England and Wales as the day progresses. Snow falling not just to the high ground but to some lower levels further north.
Frequent and heavy snow showers will push on to northern Scotland through the day. Meanwhile, the rest of England and Ireland will see cloudy skies and showery outbreaks of rain.
A cold night with a widespread harsh frost developing across the north and west. Rain progressively turns to sleet and snow showers down coastal counties and over higher ground through Scotland, England and Wales. Mostly rain is expected across much of Wales, the Midlands and southern regions of England.
