Cloudy with showery rain for some

A cloudy morning for most though many will remain dry, though a higher risk of showers down coastal areas and frequent showers, some merging into longer spells of rain across northern Scotland.

The afternoon sees a greater risk of more areas affected by showers, some merging into longer spells of rain. Showers across northern Scotland progressively turn wintry over the higher ground.

A cloudy night with showery rain about though not everywhere will get wet. Persistent snowfall is expected across northern Scotland during the early hours with a mix of rain, sleet and some snow pushing into central areas here by dawn. A cold night with some developing frost.
