Morning Call - June 23, 2022
Showers pushing north
Very warm for some

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 23rd June 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery becoming widespread across England and Wales

A largely dry and fine morning with sunny spells about, though always more cloud towards the north and west. Thicker cloud looks to push up into southern English counties with some scattered showers affecting places here.

The afternoon sees these showers continue to push northwards across Wales into central and northern parts of England, a few heavy and thundery, more so further west. Further north and west it should remain largely dry with sunny spells though still always more cloud across northwest Scotland and west Ireland.

Overnight, these showers turn more widespread across central and western regions of England up through parts of Scotland, though many places will have a dry night across the UK, particularly eastern regions of England. Meanwhile, spells of rain push eastwards across west and south Ireland with some patchy rain affecting some eastern counties but mainly dry here.
