Showers for western areas as well as along southern coasts. Drier centrally and further east. Heavy rain in the west overnight.
In the morning, many places will be dry with sunny spells about, although with low pressure to the west of the UK and Ireland, expect showers to feed in to western areas as well as southern coasts, with some showers pushing right across southern Ireland.
During the afternoon, showers across southwest England and Wales will largely fizzle out allowing for largely dry conditions across southern England and much of Wales. Cloud will thicken and heavy rain will soon push in to southern Ireland. Elsewhere, showers will continue across western areas but stay largely dry in the east although will spread across southern Scotland.
Overnight, rain will spread northwards across Ireland, into Northern Ireland as well as western parts of Scotland where it will be heaviest. Rain also affecting western parts of England and much of Wales. Some central eastern areas of Scotland will too see rain pushing in here. Winds will strengthen to gale force strengths along coasts in the west. Drier conditions elsewhere but turning increasingly cloudy. Chillier in the north.
