Settled conditions

A mostly dry day thanks to high pressure being dominant, with good spells of sunshine about, once any mist and fog patches clear, and particularly across England, Ireland and Wales.

As the day progresses expect cloud to thicken across Scotland where there will be increased showers across northern regions.

Overnight, mainly dry but with showers through west Scotland and later into northwest Wales. A cool but less chilly night than previous.
