Morning Call - October 17, 2020
Scattered showers
Rather cloudy

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 17th October 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A chilly day with scattered showers affecting mainly eastern and southern areas. Lots of cloud around with the best of any sunny spells expected to be to the south and west.

Good Morning,

A layer of cloud keeps temperatures well above freezing for most areas this morning. Staying cloudy for many across the UK and Ireland through Saturday morning with the best of any spells of sunshine over western Scotland, western Wales, southwest England and southwest Ireland. Scattered showers affect eastern parts of Ireland, England and Scotland.

Cloud tends to thicken across the British Isles through Saturday afternoon. Staying dry for many but showers continue to affect eastern areas as well as the far north of Scotland too. Feeling chilly with highs of just 9 to 13C.

The evening sees cloud thicken to the southwest of Ireland and England with the possibility of patchy outbreaks of rain spreading into far southwestern parts of Ireland. Scattered showers remain a risk for eastern parts of England and Scotland. Cloudy but dry elsewhere.

Have a good day!

Claire
