Morning Call - October 07, 2020
Rain southwest
Drier east

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 7th October 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

An area of rain spreads from the southwest across Ireland and Northern Ireland and later across Wales and much of England. Staying drier to the east for longer and this is where the best of the sunshine will be. Showery rain affects the far northwest and north of Scotland otherwise staying dry here with variable amounts of cloud.

Good Morning,

It's a dry start to the day for most today with the best of the sun over eastern parts of England and Scotland. Cloudier to the southwest with some showers affecting western coasts and hills. Longer spells of rain may affect northwestern parts of Scotland. Cloud builds from the southwest through the morning with rain arriving over the western half of Ireland.

Rain spreads across Ireland into Northern Ireland and into the southwest of the UK through the afternoon while cloud builds over eastern areas. Rain clears away from western Scotland but persists to the far north and for the Northern Isles. A dry but cloudy afternoon therefore for much of Scotland and eastern and northern England.

A wet evening across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and much of England away from the northeast. Drier over much of Scotland but rain arrives to the southwest here later while showery rain persists to the far north.

Have a good day!

Claire
