Morning Call - December 02, 2021
Rain, sleet & snow
Windy and cold

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 2nd December 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Windy and mixed with rain, sleet and snow, but some sunshine, windy too

It's a chilly morning for us all with a widespread frost and some ice on roads. There will be some sleet or snow showers affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and England where it will be feeling especially cold in the wind. Further showers in western Wales and parts of southwest England with cloud here. Much brighter for other areas, decent spells of sunshine and dry too.

This afternoon sees further scattered showers in eastern Scotland and eastern England, although these tending to fade. Brighter in other areas and mostly dry, again with sunny spells. Drier for Wales, but the showers continues over the far southwest of England. Broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells for Northern Ireland.

A dry start to the night. Increasing cloud bringing rain from the west, this turning to sleet and snow over the hills of Scotland and northern England for a time. Tending to stay dry in the far southeast.
