Staying unsettled with periods of rain and showers, but perhaps improving in the south next week

The unsettled weather will be continuing into the weekend. Low pressure will be bringing cloud and periods of rain and showers, this possibly heavy at times. Into next week pressure will be slowly building bringing drier weather to the south. Lower pressure remains closer to Scotland giving the risk of rain and showers as well as cooler weather here.

Saturday 19/10/19
Low pressure over the UK on Saturday. Further bands of rain and showers rotating around the low pressure area. Some areas of rain and showers will be heavy. Other areas may be drier. Some bright spells in the drier areas. Temperatures at 14C in southeast England, 9 to 13C elsewhere.

Sunday 20/10/19
Pressure stays low on Sunday. There may be some mist and fog patches at first, but these clear to leave bright spells. Showers will develop and some of these may be heavy. Rain in northern Scotland, and further rain in southern England too. Highs at 9 to 14C.

 
 
 

Monday 21/10/19
A ridge of high pressure is expected to build on Monday. This brings a drier day with sunny spells, after morning mist and fog patches clear. One or two showers affecting eastern coasts. Highs at 9 to 13C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 22/10/19
Pressure remains high over most of Scotland, England, Wales and Scotland. Morning mist and fog patches clearing to leave broken cloud and sunny spells. Fronts wil be bringing rain to the north and west of Scotland as well as western Ireland. Breezy here too. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Wednesday 23/10/19
High pressure to the south brings dry weather. but some mist and fog patches which could be slow to clear. Fronts in Scotland, Ireland and Ireland give outbreaks of rain, heaviest in western Scotland. Tops at 8 to 16C.

Thursday 24/10/19
A weak front brings some cloud in southern areas where it remains misty and murky too. Showers and outbreaks of rain as well as breezier weather in Scotland, northwest England and Northern Ireland. Mild in the far south, but considerably cooler in the north. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.
