Dry and cloudy east, some rain reaching the west, staying cold

Cloudy with some rain across Ireland this morning, Most places will be dry, again with lots of cloud but some bright spells too in more central and eastern areas. early morning mist and fog patches in the eas should be clearing quickly.

This afternoon sees the drizzle drifting into the west of Wales and western England with more persistent rain in western Scotland. Eastern parts of England should be dry although cloudy. Staying cloudy in much of Ireland, although some rain is likely in the east.

Tonight sees snow over the central and northern hills of Scotland, rai to the south. Some showery rain in northern, central and southern England too, Milder air reaching the west although more rain in western and southern Ireland.
