A mixed day with rain in the south

Good morning,

Becoming wet through this morning across southern Ireland and southwest England. The rain turning heavier as the morning progresses. Sleet and snow may affect the highest hills at first. Some showery outbreaks of rain affecting northern England with wintry showers in the far north iof Scotland. Elsewhere it is going to be dry and bright overall in Scotland, although cloudier across England and Northern Ireland.


Rain spreads through the Midlands and southern England as well as the rest of Wales during this afternoon. Most iof this rain will be light and patchy, although more persistent rain affects Ireland. Further wintry showers in the far north of Ireland but drier elsewhere.


Staying wet and becoming windy tonight across Ireland, England and Wales. Breezy and chilly in north and northwest Scotland with wintry showers io the hills.
