Persistent rainfall in SE England

Good morning,

Wet and cloudy across the south and southeast through much of the day giving an enhanced flood risk for some here. Drier and brighter elsewhere but with showers in the west, some heavy and possibly thundery across west Wales.

Rain gradually eases and clears the southeast in the afternoon with brighter spells developing. Western parts of England and Wales continue to be hit by heavy and perhaps thundery showers. Drier and brighter further north and east.

Overnight, mist and fog will develop for some. Most places will stay dry though showers will pester many southern and western coastal areas, some pushing inland more too. Chilly in the north and west.
