Morning Call - June 20, 2018
Rain at First
All Areas Turning Cool.

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 20th June 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Wet weather for the north clearing as cooler and fresher conditions filter southwards.

Good morning,

It's a wet start across Scotland and N England with outbreaks of rain and showers pulling away to the east through the morning to leave behind some drier and brighter weather but with scattered showers. Warm in the south, rather chilly in the north.

Through the afternoon and a fragmenting band of rain will continue to move southwards across England and Wales, but much of the rain fizzling out before it reaches southern areas of England, but it will introduce cooler and fresher conditions, from the north, to all areas by the end of the afternoon. Scattered showers dominate across northern areas.

Into Wednesday evening and scattered showers across Scotland in particular will ease away and then many areas will become dry on Wednesday night with clear spells and variable cloud and it will be a chilly night, particularly for the time of year.
