Brightening up from west, but expect showers
Good morning,
Some chilly and unpleasant weather today, with a swathe of rain and hill snow moving eastwards through the morning and middle of the day.
Snow is likely to fall below 300-400m for a time across northern England and central Scotland, causing some issues for higher level roads.
Rain moves through eastern England in the afternoon, some sleet or snow over the Wolds and North York Moors for a time.
Brighter skies arrive from the west, but showers follow, spreading inland from western coasts with a mix of rain, snow and hail.
Today's top temperatures 3 to 5C in the north, 7 to 9C in the far south, but feeling chillier in a brisk wind.
Have a great day. Garry
