Cloudy with rain and showers for many

Good morning,

Rain through Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland as well as western parts of England today. Some of it may be heavy at times, especially in western Scotland. Cloudier skies in the rest of England with some showery rain though any should be dry though cloud shrouding hills.

Little change into the afternoon with rain in the west and north, low cloud and drizzle in more central and eastern areas, although an odd brighter spell may develop in the east.

A wet night for many though much of the rain will clear for many during the early hours. Spells of rain continue though across north and central Scotland throughout with some heavy bursts of rain still expected heading into dawn across Wales and NW England.
