Morning Call - November 06, 2020
Patchy rain northwest
Dry and fine for most

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 6th November 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Early mist and fog patches clear through the morning to leave a mostly dry and sunny day across the UK and Ireland. Northern and western areas will remain cloudy throughout the day with a risk of patchy light rain or drizzle for parts of the Western Isles and northwest Scotland. Through the afternoon cloud thickens to the south of Ireland as an area of low pressure approaches from the south. This may bring patchy rain into the far south of Ireland later this evening.

Good Morning,

A chilly start to the day, especially across central parts of England and Wales where a touch of ground frost is likely to have formed. Extensive mist and fog patches also expected this morning but these should clear and lift by lunchtime allowing for good spells of sunshine to develop across southern and eastern areas. Cloudier further to the north and west with patchy drizzle possible for the Western Isles.

The afternoon should see cloud starting to clear and breaking allowing longer spells of sun to develop. Remaining cloudier to the north and west with the risk of light rain or drizzle persisting here too. Later in the afternoon cloud starts to build to the southwest of the UK and over far southern parts of Ireland.

Cloud thickens across Ireland through Friday evening with some patchy rain arriving here later too. Plenty of clear skies around across the UK with some patchy cloud remaining. Continuing cloudier over northern and western areas with a risk of patchy rain for the Western Isles.

Have a good day!

Claire
