Drier day for most although some patchy rain further north and west

Good morning,

A mostly dry morning with variable cloud cover, best of the sunny spells across southern England. Thicker cloud across Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland where there will some patchy light rain.

Staying mainly dry across much of England and Wales through the afternoon, although cloud building for many and some showers across perhaps moving into parts of Wales. Heavier bursts of rain are possible for northern Scotland but elsewhere here just patchy light rain or dry but cloudy. Improving from the west across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Overnight, rain continues to affect the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles. Largely dry elsewhere across the country though. Variable cloud across England and Scotland with best of the clear skies through Ireland and Northern Ireland for a time before cloud thickens here again.
