Some brightness may develop in south-east England. Broken cloud and sunny spells for northern Britain & Ireland. Breezy for Scotland, with showery rain in the far north. Highs 13 to 18C.

Friday
Pressure is likely to build - the high centred to the south-west of Britain. A generally dry picture. Fairly cloudy in southern areas with patchy drizzle locally, but should fade. Bright with sunny spells from the Midlands northwards. Light winds overall; a westerly breeze affects the far north of Scotland. Some early fog patches, and a touch of frost first thing in rural northern areas. Feeling fresher, highs 11 to 16C.
