Issued: 0530hrs Friday 24th September 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Mostly dry and mild, warm in the south. Windy in the north with some light rain about.

In the north and west expect rather a lot of cloud as well as patchy light rain affecting western coasts and hills here, but mainly dry elsewhere. A windy morning at least further north too. Drier with developing sunshine further south.

Less windy further south. Mainly dry here with plenty of sunnny spells about through the afternoon too. As the afternoon progresses patchy rain will lessen across western areas further north but continue to be damp for some throughout. Mild for most.

Overnight, it will remain mostly dry across much of England and Wales, although staying largely cloudy. Rain moves into western Scotland with a strengthening breeze developing here again. A cloudy night across eastern Scotland and Ireland. Mild for most.
