Mostly dry
Mild

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 23rd September 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Mostly dry and continuing to feel mild for many.

High pressure still the main feature today, keeping things largely settled. Initially a cloudy start across much of southern England and Wales. For Scotland, a wet start across western parts with rain. Elsewhere, mainly dry with developing sunny spells.

Through the afternoon across southern England and Wales the cloud tending to break up with sunny spells developing. Across Scotland, rain looks to largely and gradually clear here before more rain pushes into northwestern regions later.

Overnight, it will be mostly dry with clear spells across much of England and Wales. Cloudier further north and west, windier too with some showers hitting western coasts and hills, showers turning heavier and more frequent across NW Scotland later.
