Morning Call - November 07, 2017
Heavy bursts of rain
Becoming drier in west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 7th November 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Heavy bursts of rain edging slowly east with cooler, drier weather following to the west

Good morning,

We've a cold front passing eastwards this morning bringing some heavy bursts of rain across southwest Scotland, Wales and southwest England. This front edges into northern England, the Midlands and southern England with cooler, brighter weather following form the west. Don't be surprised to hear a crack of thunder as the front passes overhead. Drier and breezy in the east.

The band of rain slips into northeast, central and southern England this afternoon and becomes increasingly slow moving as the rain becomes lighter towards this evening. The drier and brighter weather continues to move in behind the front, reaching Wales, western England, Scotland and most of Ireland by evening. A few showers in western Ireland and western Scotland.

Damp tonight in East Anglia and southeast England but drier elsewhere. A touch of frost forms for some.
