Becoming hot with a risk of thunderstorms later in the week

Dry weather is set to dominate through the course of the week. They will be some good spells of sunshine around and it is going to be getting warmer as well. It may be hot on Sundays in the early to middle stages of next week. We also need to focus towards the south by the end of the week for risk of some thunderstorms.

Sunday 24/6/18
High pressure controls the weather on Sunday. This will bring another dry day with lots of sunshine and it will be feeling warm of the many as well after cool start. Eastern areas always tending to see some high-level cloud which may make things hazy here, but the most it will be sunny and dry day. Temperatures will rise to between 19 and 24°C.


Monday 25/6/18
High-pressure remains centred over Ireland and drifts into the UK on Sunday. There may be some low cloud on eastern coasts, but generally it will be another dry and fine day. Lots of sunshine to come for all and becoming very warm as well. Temperatures rising to 26°C in south-east England, widely 23 to 25°C.

 


Tuesday 26/6/18
High-pressure remains in control through Monday. This is going to be bringing another warm day with lots of sunshine. Temperatures reaching 28°C in south-east England, more widely 23 to 26°C but only 17°C in northern Scotland.

 
 
 


Wednesday 27/6/18
High-pressure is going to be affecting all parts of the country again on Wednesday. This brings another fine and sunny day to most, although they could be more cloud in Northwest Scotland. There is also the potential for the heat triggering an isolated thunderstorm in England and Wales. Temperatures rising to 27°C in southern England, 21°C in Northwest Scotland.


Thursday 28/6/18
A weak front may slip south on Thursday bringing a band of cloud but mostly dry weather. There will be sunny spells south and north of the front, although an isolated showers could occur on hills. Highs at 22 to 28C.

Friday 29/6/18
A low risk of some thunderstorms edging into the southern parts of the country through Friday. More northern areas stay dry with sunny spells. Highs at 20 to 27C.
