Windy in the north with frequent, heavy showers developing. Drier further south.

Some drizzle and low cloud possible in the southeast of England first thing before clearing to brighter weather here. Sunny spells elsewhere in the morning and largely dry conditions, though showers about across west Scotland as well as through west and central areas of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Winds strengthening through these parts too.

The afternoon is likely to windy across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of Ireland with frequent, heavy showers pushing across into eastern areas. Staying largely dry through England and Wales though do expect a few scattered showers across west Wales and north England.

Overnight, staying windy for many. Showers continue across many western areas, particularly the coasts and hills here. Showers merging into longer spells of rain across western Scotland and northwest Ireland later. Dry with clear spells elsewhere.
