Rain moving in

Good morning,

Rain spreading across Ireland, Wales and southwest England on Wednesday morning. An early frost in the north and east although cloud is increasing.

The rain continues to push eastwards across Northern Ireland, the rest of England and then into Scotland where the rain is likely to fall as snow over the higher ground. SE England and northern Scotland staying dry until evening. Winds strengthening heading into the evening also.

A wet and windy night expected for many with heavy rain in places and snow fall expected across the Scottish mountains. The rain should largely clear from central and southern England during the early hours.
