Getting brighter after morning rain in the east fades. Wetter for Ireland, rain into Wales and southwest England later.
A cloudy morning for many with outbreaks of rain across central and eastern areas. Rather misty and murky too. Drier in the west with the cloud breaking to allow some bright or sunny spells to come through. Wetter in the west of Ireland with the risk of heavy rain here this morning.
This afternoon sees the rain fading from eastern England and eastern Scotland. There will be some sunny spells developing for many areas. However, thicker cloud and rain affects much of Ireland and this will be slipping into Wales and southwest England by the end of the afternoon.Staying cold for most areas, although turning milder in Ireland, west Wales and southwest England.
Tonight is misty and damp across much of Ireland, Wales, central and southern England. There will be some outbreaks of rain and drizzle here. Drier in the far north of England and Scotland.
