Dry for most
Cooler than recently

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 4th June 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Overcast skies central and eastern areas; sunniest west

Good morning,

High pressure is centred toward the north of Britain, whilst slack low pressure is over Europe. An east to north-easterly breeze, strongest along southern coasts.

Most places will stay dry today. A chance of local showers breaking out for south-western parts of England and Wales, perhaps isolated showers in south-west Scotland too. A few showers also possible for Northern Ireland, mostly in the west.

Variable cloud across the British Isles, sunniest in the far west. Eastern coasts are likely to stay persistently dull and feeling cool, just 12C.

Today's top temperatures will be 16 to 18C in central areas, whilst sheltered western spots will be nearer 20C. The West Highlands and also western Ireland may locally top 22C.

Have a great day.
Garry
