dry for most with broken cloud, windy in northern Scotland

Some bright or sunny spells in southern England and Wales this morning, although a few mist patches in well sheltered areas too. These should be clearing quickly. The morning should be dry for many, although always a fair amount of cloud, but some bright spells as well. Thicker cloud in northwest Scotland may produce some drizzle here with mist on coasts and hills.

This afternoon stays dry for most of England and Wales with the cloud breaking and some bright or sunny spells. More cloud in southern Scotland and parts of north Wales. Some drizzle in northwest Scotland with mist on coasts. A few bright spells developing in central and eastern Scotland. Windier in Scotland, gales in the north.

Rain arriving in northwest Scotland, this could be heavy. Some clearer skies ot the east and across central Ireland. Cloud in England and Wales tending to keep temperatures up.
