Showery rain in Scotland, dry and bright for most

Good morning,

High pressure is controlling the weather this morning again over most of the country. There will be broken cloud this morning, a tendency for this to be melting away further into this afternoon. There is a risk of an isolated shower developing in southern Wales and southern parts of England later.
 

In Scotland a weak front is sinking southwest bringing some spots of rain through central Scotland. These spots of rain could trouble northern coasts of Ireland as well. Drier and brighter in southern Scotland. Cloudier skies in Scotland, northern England and Ireland tonight. The cloud could extend into northern and western Wales. Clearer skies in southern areas.
