Wednesday
A humid and misty start to Wednesday morning for many who have experienced thundery rain overnight. The rain is likely to be continuing in eastern England and eastern Scotland for a time, with heavier rain in northern Scotland. Drier and brighter weather spreading to the west and south with much of England and Wales becoming hot and sunny again. This afternoon sees dry weather for most with good spells of sunshine. Thicker cloud and some rain may affect western Ireland, a few showers in central Scotland. Highs at 32C in East Anglia and southeast England, 23C in much of Ireland and eastern Scotland, 19C in western Scotland.

Wednesday Night
A muggy night ahead for most of the UK and Ireland. There will be a fair amount of cloud with a risk of isolated showers in the far south later in the night. Cloud and rain affecting Ireland and western Scotland. Lows at 14 to 17C.

 
 
 

Thursday
Another very warm and hot day ahead. Low pressure is to the west of Ireland and this allows for a southerly flow to waft hot air in fro the continent. There will be good spells of sunshine in the morning and most places should be dry. However, a risk of some isolated showers in Wales and much of southern England in the morning, transferring north in the afternoon with the showers potentially turning heavy and thundery. At the same time an area of rain moves into western Ireland courtesy of a cold front. Highs at 33C in eastern England, more generally 22 to 25C.

Friday
Low pressure remains west of Ireland on Friday. A mix of sunshine and showers in Ireland and breezy too. Broken cloud, the best of the sunshine in the east of the UK, although some showery spots of drizzle on Wales and southwest England. There is a risk of some thundery showers affecting eastern parts of East Anglia and the southeast later. Otherwise it remains muggy and bright. Highs at 30C in eastern areas, 21C in the west.
